The Provincial Specialist Children's Hospital in Olsztyn was qualified by the Ministry of Health to create such a Center as one of the twelve centers in the country. The structure of the institution already contained all necessary departments, as well as numerous specialists participating in comprehensive care of children after injuries.
Olsztyn, and thus the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, gained a specialized center with full diagnostic facilities, ensuring comprehensive treatment of severe, multiple and multi-organ injuries in people under 18 years old - said Ms Krystyna Piskorz-Ogórek, Hospital Director during the opening ceremony.
The Trauma Center for Children at the Provincial Specialist Children's Hospital in Olsztyn is the first place of this type in the entire Province. As the doctors of the Olsztyn institution say - It is a new quality in the treatment of children after accidents.
As part of the investment, the hospital building was expanded by a total of approx. 800 m2 of space. The facility was also equipped with modern, specialized medical equipment necessary to save the youngest patients.
The inauguration of the facility was attended by, among others vice President of the Company - Mr. Dariusz Kaczmarek. The company, as well as the construction manager - Mr. Marcin Szczepański - were honored by the hospital with thanks for their contribution to the creation of the Olsztyn Hospital Trauma Center.
Such thanks are an additional motivator for further work on the site, as Wegner implements a further extension project for WSSD as the general contractor.
